Spouse Reintegration. Workshop held 28 May from 1 - 3 pm to help prepare spouses for a sponsor returning home. Covers communication, parenting, financial issues, and more. Call to sign up.
Spouse Pre-Deployment. This workshop held the 21 May from 1 - 3 pm. This workshop is for helping prepare spouses for upcoming deployments and focuses on communication, parenting, financial, etc. Call to sign up.
Smooth Move Workshop. Helps member to be more prepared for PCS moves. 15 May, 9 to 11 am. Sign up by calling Sandi Liotti 257-3120.
Transition Assistance Workshop. Presented by the Georgia Department of Labor, this 4-day workshop is designed to prepare those leaving the military with employment skills necessary to secure employment in the civilian sector. Attendees will learn the job process, understand vacancy announcements, resume preparation, the job interview, salary negotiation, and other valuable skills. The workshop will be held 10 - 14 Jun starting each morning at 8 am. Please call 257-3333 to sign up seating is limited.
Right Start. Inprocessing and newcomer orientation (Right Start) is held two Tuesdays per month at the Moody Field Club. This is a mandatory briefing for active duty personnel, and spouses are highly encouraged to attend. Right Start will be held 21 May at 7:30 am.
Group Pre-Separation Counseling. Accomplished using the DD Form 2648 checklist which covers Employment Assistance, Veteran Benefits, Relocation, etc. This mandatory briefing is required for every member separating or retiring from the military and is a prerequisite for attending the TAP seminar. This class needs to be scheduled 90 days or more prior to your actual separation date. The dates for this workshop are 28 May, 9 -11 am. Please call to reserve your seat.
Private Sector Resumé. Workshop tailored to private sector resumés for private businesses. To be held 22 May at 9 am. Call to sign up in advance.
Federal Resume Writing. Learn the mechanics of developing your federal resume. Participants will learn how to determine their eligibility, search for a job, how to self-nominate for vacancies, and how to properly format the resume and supplemental information. The workshop will be held 16 May at 9 am. Please call to reserve your seat.

Boots to Business. 20 - 21 May, 8 am to 5 pm. B2B offers training in the following: Core component parts required to develop a business or nonprofit organizational plan. The interrelationship/interdependency of marketing,accounting/finance, operations/production, and human resources required to formulate a business plan for either a "for profit" business or a nonprofit organization. Introductory concepts in entrepreneurship will be covered, such as:idea creation, why the business plan matters, accounting for start-ups,securing financing, marketing on a shoestring budget, and more Develop and write an objective, cohesive, and integrated business or nonprofit plan. A number of analytical tools, methodologies, and frameworks usefulin creating a great business plan. Presenting to prospective investors, lenders, or other financialbackers of the proposed business or nonprofit organization.
Spouse Appreciation Day. The Airman & Family Readiness Center, Moody's IDS Agencies and Wiregrass Tech invites all Spouses to join us at the Wing Auditorium as we salute your strength, patriotism and dedicated support! Throughout the day guests will enjoy on site cooking demos, FREE haircuts, manicures, skin analysis & hand massages, youth finger printing, plant giveaways & plant care tips, basic auto care checks & tips, real world safety & security info and door prizes! Hourly Care. If you are looking to go to the gym, out to lunch with a friend, or have a doctor's appointment, please call the Child Development Center for Hourly Care. CDC II has openings available, in most age groups. Registration paperwork must be completed prior to your child attending the program, along with current and required immunizations. The hourly care charge is $4 an hour per child. For more information and details, please feel free to call 257-3935 CDC I or 257-2210 CDC II.
Give Parents a Break. Air Force Aid Society’s respite care program for youth ages 6 weeks to 4 years (CDC) and in kindergarten through age 12 (Youth Center) will be on Sat, 18 May, from 10 am to 4 pm. To be eligible to use the program your child must have a current referral and the required documentation must be filled and returned to the program prior to making reservations. This documentation must also include a current immunization record. As a reminder, for those children remaining in the program after 4 pm, an additional charge of $1.00/minute will be assessed as a late fee. The Air Force Aid Society is not responsible for paying these late fees; but rather it will be the direct responsibility of the parents. If you incur a late fee charge, this fee must be paid prior to you being able to utilize the Given Parents A Break Program again. For more information and to make reservations please call 257-2210. Effective 1 Oct 12, due to modified food service operations, service will be limited to ESM members and Emergency Responders only. Customers will remove trays from table to designated tray collection points. BAS/cash customers can utilize the Moody Field Club, the Spot, Golf Course Snack Bar or BX food activities.
Turn N' Burn Flight Kitchen. The Flight Kitchen is currently CLOSED due to reduced manning. Midnight meal will move to DFAC and will be restricted to Emergency Responders and Essential Station Messing (ESM)/Meal Card customers in "uniform only".

Are You Living In Base Housing & Interested In Becoming An FCC Provider? The Moody AFB Family Child Care (FCC) Program is accepting applications for a new FCC Provider in base housing. This is an exciting opportunity to support the mission here at Moody, receive free childcare training, and bring extra income into your home. If you are a resident of Magnolia Grove or Quiet Pines and are interested in becoming an FCC Provider, please contact the FCC Office at 229-257-3907.
Child Care. If you are in need of full-time childcare, part-time, hourly, swings, mid-shift, evenings or weekend childcare, Family Child Care (FCC) is here to serve your need. Our Air Force Licensed and Affiliate providers can care for children with special needs, infants, and school age children. We even offer free Extended Child Care (ECC) for extended duty (EDC), returning from deployment (RHC), and primary UTA Reservist weekends (HCC).
Unlicensed Childcare. Anyone who resides in base housing and cares for children for more than 10 hours per week or on a regular basis, whether paid or not, must be licensed by the Mission Support Group commander. Individuals providing unlicensed care for children in their housing units risk losing the privilege of residing in base housing.

Tutor.com. Students in military families can get free personalized online tutoring and homework help from live experts 24/7 at www.tutor.com/military . With tutors available to help them any time, any day in all core K-12 subjects, military students of all skill levels can achieve success this school year. K-12 children in National Guard, Reserve and Active Duty Military families are eligible to receive one-to-one academic support 24/7 in math, science, English and more, regardless of the service member's branch or deployment status at NO COST through funding by the Department of Defense MWR Library Program, the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program and the Navy General Library Program.
Federal Daily. The Federal Daily can now be accessed through the AF Portal! Simply login to the Portal, place your cursor on Library at the top of the screen, and from the dropdown menu click on "Databases and Online Resources", then scroll down to Federal Daily. This service provides access to FEND, weekly updates, coverage of legal cases, benefits options review, and general employment news. It also provides access to the Federal Employees Almanac which is updated annually with the latest federal employment policies regarding pay, benefits, time off, transition rules, retirement plans such as CSRS, FERS and TSP, and and other resources.
ICE comment system. The Moody AFB Library would appreciate your comments and suggestions regarding your Library Experience! The MAFB Library now has two online offerings for USAF Library patrons (ONLY) to learn a foreign language or who have English as a second language: TRANSPARENT LANGUAGES: Self registration in Library; use anywhere, anytime; no deactivations, self paced; broad eligibility rules; for Quality of Life for USAF personnel only; not for training purposes; 80+ languages; can learn multiple languages; emphasizes quick development of basic memorized proficiency; language support for those with English as a Second Language. Has two major sections: "Learn" which contains course and reference materials, vocabulary build; and "Explore" with blogs, Word of the Day, social media links, access to mobile. Safari Books, accessible from the AF Portal Library link, and other providers have eBooks and training videos on technology and business. Universal Class, accessible from the AF Portal Library link, has 500+ online classes for self development. Monthly Newcomers Tour. Join Force Support for a FREE Newcomers Tour on Wed, 29 May, from 8 am to approximately 2:30 pm! This tour is open to all military, civilians, retirees and families ages 12 and up* who are new to our Moody community or just want to find out more about what's happening around the base. The tour includes a free breakfast and lunch, plus transportation on a guided bus tour through Moody AFB, the surrounding Valdosta area and Grassy Pond. Iron Chef Block Party. Fri, 31 May, 3:30 pm. We're looking for 3 2-person teams to compete against the DFAC team cooking with this year's mystery ingredient! Squadron vs. Squadron Build a Boat Race. Thurs, 6 Jun, 6 pm. Each team will consist of 5 people and they will be given the supplies to build their boat to then race across the outdoor pool and back. Youth Recognition Ceremony. It's time to reflect! Join us on Wed, 15 May for our end of the year Youth Recognition Ceremony. This our chance and your chance to help spotlight all of our amazing youth's achievements in Power Hour, Fit Factor, Caught Doing Good, Youth of the Quarter and many other achievements. We will be hosting a ceremony at 4:30 pm. A light reception will follow after the presentation. All parents welcome! Hope to see you at the Wing Auditorium!
Kids Night Out. Mom & Dad, want a night out but don't know what to do with the kids? Well, bring them to the Youth Center on Fri, 17 May from 6:30-10:30 pm for a fun-filled night with their friends. We'll have games, crafts, movies, and dinner for all kids Kindergarten through 12 years old. Cost is $20. No open recreation is available this evening. Please sign up by noon day of event! Give Parents a Break. Air Force Aid Society’s respite care program for youth ages 6 weeks to 4 years (CDC) and in kindergarten through age 12 (Youth Center) will be on Sat, 18 May, from 10 am to 4 pm. To be eligible to use the program your child must have a current referral and the required documentation must be filled and returned to the program prior to making reservations. This documentation must also include a current immunization record. As a reminder, for those children remaining in the program after 4 pm, an additional charge of $1/minute will be assessed as a late fee. The Air Force Aid Society is not responsible for paying these late fees; but rather it will be the direct responsibility of the parents. If you incur a late fee charge, this fee must be paid prior to you being able to utilize the Given Parents A Break Program again. For more information and to make reservations please call 257-2210.

Britisch Soccer Camp. Come register at the Youth Center for this week long British Soccer Camp. Moody will host 2 British soccer coaches for the week of 3 - 7 June. The following camps will be offered: First Kicks for ages 3-4 yr olds, cost $77. Mini Soccer for ages 5 yr olds, cost $92. Half Day for ages 6-9 & 10-14 yr olds, cost $107. There are different times to choose from so come in and pick the one that works best for your schedule. Camp includes a FREE ball and t-shirt. Turn in applications and checks payable to Moody Youth Programs. Please don't forget to bring pleanty of water, sunscreen and a healthy snack.
Paintball. Paintball is a character-building sport. Youth learn about teamwork, gain self-confidence and develop leadership abilities while having fun and being physical. When the adrenaline starts pumping, you can't help but love the thrill of the game! Above all paintball is fun! So, join us on Wed, 22 May, from 5 - 7 pm as we take on the challenge! Cost is $16. Pre-registration required.
Friday Night Extreme Bowling. Wanna get out of the house and experience something new?! Join us for a night of lights out bowling. Moody Youth Programs will be heading to the base bowling alley for a night of fun on Fri, 28 Jun from 6 pm - 9 pm. Cost is $5 and includes games, shoes, and transportation.
Passport to Manhood (P2M). Fostering positive values and responsible behavior in youth ages 9 to 17 years and, at the same time, giving them practice in making healthy decisions related to their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development. As they build and practice life skills for decision-making, conflict resolution, and healthy relationships, boys learn the essential attitudes, values, and skills they need to become responsible adult men. They will be engaged in camping activities, paintball, archery, bowling, and more! This club will meet Mon or Wed, Jan-June at 5 pm. Check our monthly calendar for dates. KEYSTONE meets every Wed from 4:30 to 5:30 pm for ages 13 to 18, TEEN COUNCIL meets the last Wed of each month at 5 pm for ages 13 to 18, and TORCH meets every Tues from 5 to 6 pm for ages 9 to 12. We are waiting to hear from you!
Teen Power Hour. Join your friends at the Youth Center after school for a free healthy snack and a place to do homework. Get help with your assignments from one of our knowledgeable staff members. Have an impact on the Youth Center and the base as you join the most elite youth club at Moody! The Moody Teen Council is supported at Air Force level. Come join us and have your voice heard! Y.E.S. Program. The Y.E.S. Program is an on-base youth volunteer program funded by the Air Force Aid Society. The program allows high school students to "bank" volunteer dollar credits towards college. Students may accumulate as much as 250 hours for a potential $1,000 max over all four years of high school. Students must be a dependent son/daughter of an active duty Air Force member, must be enrolled in high school and attend full time, hours must be volunteered in an on-base position and participation eligibility and accrual of credit terminates upon high school graduation or May 31 of senior year.
Volunteers - Looking for a way to make an impact in a child's life? Volunteer your time to be a tutor for Power Hour at Moody Youth Programs! The program runs Mon to Thurs from 3:30 to 5 p.m. for ages 5-12 and 4 to 5 pm for ages 13 and up. Volunteer tutors are needed to assist youth with homework and study skills in reading, math, educational games, spelling, and more! All volunteers must complete a volunteer packet complete with a reference check and base Installation Records Check.
